FDM and SLA: a short guide to our 3D printing processes

Lukas-3DWorld uses FDM and SLA 3D printing. Here is a brief explanation of how the two processes work.

FDM

In FDM printing, plastic filament is heated and built up layer by layer to form a part. This process is used, for example, to make holders, kitchen accessories and decorations.

SLA

In SLA printing, liquid resin is cured with light layer by layer. This process is particularly suited to fine details.
